Repeating information, sleeping in late, and facing challenges with everyday tasks. That is what dementia has done to my 73-year-old mother. Dementia is a diagnosis that affects the entire family. There is medication management, making sure the patient eats regularly, and keeping the person actively engaged in critical thinking activities. That is what my family and I strive to do for our mother. Having a family member with dementia means that the family will need help. I am here to offer the help that is needed.
