Hi, I'm Ellie! I'm 20 and just finished up my sophomore year at KU and have decided to take a gap year but still stay in Lawrence for the year. I really love kids and helping to provide a safe (safety is always first for me) nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment for all kids. I have experience in childcare, as I have volunteered at a daycare for a few summers taking care of children, ages 1-5. Although this does not count as professional experience, I do come from a large family, so I'm used to taking care of and watching a lot of kids at once. I love to be around kids, as they really do provide a lot of insight into a young, growing mind, and thought that this would be the best way to start! * Very comfortable around animals of all types and helping out with animals (walks, feeding, playtime for animals) * Comfortable with light-housekeeping, and willing to help out with some of the heavy lifting when keeping the house clean
