Hi families! I have a teaching certificate in Special Education and 5 years experience working in classrooms and recreational settings with children and young adults ages 4 - 22 with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My favorite part about working with children and adults is getting to communicate in unique ways that work for the individual, and learning to see the world from their perspective. I have experience supervising and assisting with toileting/ bathing needs, and teaching life skills such as food preparation, laundry, basic money management, and various chores. I have a strong sense of justice and strive to employ that in every job I hold, believing that each person is entitled to a fun, dignified, and enriching life.
