About Elena

Elena cared for my mother who has mobility problems and dementia. Mom was grieving the loss of my father, and she was also new to assisted living in San Antonio. It was a very hard time for her, but Elena was a bright spot in our lives. She was extremely reliable, punctual, professional, and caring. She and Mom became friends, and Elena kept mother company and played puzzles with her. She also bought snacks that Mom would like, without seeking reimbursement, which was so kind. We found this out later. She went above and beyond. She also would massage Mom’s legs so they wouldn’t hurt and treated her with such compassion. She is hardworking, and her personality is just lovely. She is bilingual, which was a plus for us, but English is her dominant language. It was a huge comfort to us to have Elena on the job. If anything came up, she would let us know. Within the facility, she often spoke up on Mom’s behalf as an advocate. She was a perfect complement to our care team, almost like she was another family member. We are taking Mom back to her hometown, which is the only reason we will not have Elena caring for Mom anymore. I know we will all miss her.
