I studied Intercultural Studies with a concentration in Special Education at Nyack College in Nyack, NY (2010-2015). My long term goal is to work with children who have disabilities overseas. I have a passion to love children with disabilities, but also to learn from their way of seeing life. In college, I observed Special Education classrooms and have worked with children with a variety of special needs. This includes Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome, and Cognitive Disorders. I also studied American Sign Language for 2 years and observed classrooms with students who were Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
