About Elana

I have loved taking care of kids since I was 12 and started being a mother's helper for my older cousin and her three little ones. In addition to caring for kids within my family, I have had paid babysitting jobs with children from 9mo's old to an average of 2 years and have maintained good relationships with all my past employers. I have volunteered at a kids camp with kids aged 5-13 and was a mentor for 3 summers and a group leader my final summer. More recently, I have volunteered and interned at the Girls Running Club in Cambridge and worked with girls ages 9-15 as a positive role model and coach. I have studied Lifespan Development while getting my undergrad degree at Lesley University and feel confident and comfortable working with any type of family and their values and perspectives on raising their children. I love being playful and allowing kids to express their creativity with fun activities or games, while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. As long as there is ample instruction and communication between my employer and myself, I feel confident in my ability to follow a schedule and make every child I interact with feel heard, loved, and appreciated!
