About Eileen

A writer and editor specializing in food and travel, I am semi-retired and augment my income by babysitting and cooking multi-course dinner parties, mainly for Kiawah Island guests. I enjoy children and began babysitting as a preteen. I have taken care of newborns and young teenagers and every age in between. I prefer the ages of two eight and can handle large or multiple families. For years I was the sitter-of-choice for a wedding venue, caring for as many as five infants at a time! I volunteer at the tea room of St Philip s Church and I enjoy teaching kids to cook and/or play restaurant server. My Spanish is quite fluent, and I have been studying my French intensely. Philosophy: I am firm but lots of fun, very creative and enjoy taking kids to the pool. Safety is paramount and I've just renewed my background check. (I have even been fingerprinted at the Mt. Pleasant Police station.) In addition, I have renewed my CPR and Lifesaving certificate.
