About Donna

I have worked for 17 years teaching grades K-6 in public schools. I was responsible for educating, closely monitoring, and entertaining large, diverse groups of children. Before that, as a teenager, I babysat neighborhood kids and helped my mom with my two younger brothers. Last year I took a year off of teaching and worked full time as a nanny for a family in San Mateo, beginning September 2021. I played with and supervised a 5-year-old girl, and also cared for her baby sister when their mother's maternity leave ended. Also, this past July I watched a friend's 8-month-old baby for about a week. I have discovered that I love spending my days with babies! I prefer nannying over teaching in a classroom environment. I am willing to work with multiple children, and can use my teaching experience to homeschool. Currently I am working full time as a nanny for a wonderful 2-year-old boy, but this position is unfortunately ending at the end of March.
