I have had experience working with disabled people for the first time coaching basketball for the Special Olympics. I worked with athletes ages 6-24 with a wide variety of different abilities. I am passionate about making sure people that are different get treated with the same respect and opportunity that everyone else does. I myself navigate ADHD and a reading disability. Today I am finishing my final quarter of my undergraduate and will be attending graduate school in the fall. I would love the opportunity to inspire anyone doubting that they can make it as far as the next person. During the summer of 2012, Care. com connected me with an amazing family and the opportunity to work with their daughter with autism. I absolutely loved that job and am looking for another opportunity like it. I believe in intentional interactions, learning and fun. I can't wait to hear from you!
