I currently provide training to the disabled in all areas of daily living, including, but not limited to: meal preparation, shopping, hygiene, personal care, budgeting, safety awareness, and maintaining a clean and healthy living environment. Assistance with additional resources to find the appropriate attendant care or in-home support. I am also a provider of instruction regarding client rights and self-advocacy, recognizing unusual or threatening conditions related to people with disabilities and resolve those issues. Administrative Duties include but not limited to creating and maintaining client schedule, monitoring client progress in case notes and completing special Incident Reports as needed. This work is so rewarding and fulfilling, it is the primary reason I chose to get a Masters in Human Development and Social Change, and later plan to open a Mediation Center for the Aging and or Disabled.
