I took care of an elderly woman with Alzheimer's disease for 4 years. We had a special, loving relationship from the very beginning. I made her breakfast and lunch, ran errands and did grocery shopping, did all the housekeeping and laundry and walked her dog. I made sure all proper medications were taken on time. I talked with her, helped her with her photo albums and worked on her geneology. I took care of a man with ALS (Lou Gherig's disease) for 2 years. I took care of his meals including special preparations to make it easier for him to eat. I did all of his housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, grooming and cared for his 3 cats. Sadly, both of these wonderful people have recently passed. They helped me find my calling in life. I also found that I am very good with hospice patients. Each one has taught me so much and filled my heart with love and admiration. I am caring and compassionate and like to make others laugh.
