Hello, My name is Diana. My husband and I moved here to be closer to my sister and parents. In California, I had a childcare program first in my home and then in a center for 48 children. Our program was in business for 29 years. During those years I became quite skilled at caring for the many children of different backgrounds (some years we had up to 10 different languages spoken among the families), as well as the varied ways in which the children communicated verbally or non-verbally. These children then grew up, as children do, and I stayed in contact with the many families, therefore learning what it was to care for a grown adult with special needs vs the little boy I had years before.
