About Debra

I'm a registered professional nurse, who has worked on an orthopedic/plastic surgery floor at Albany Medical Center for 10 years, and as a charge nurse and unit manager of an Alzheimer's/Dementia unit for another 10 years. Before this, I was a certified nursing assistant for 5 years and that fostered a love for care giving. Recently, I have started companionship services in this area. There is a big need for assistance in the senior population, and that is what I am here for. Some of the services provided range from companionship, household management, medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal preparation and diet management, to mental stimulation and recreational activities. After working in facilities for such a prolonged period of time, I came to the realization that our elders should be able to live in the familiar surroundings of their own home as long as is possible.
