I enjoy working with people. I am definitely a people person. I have been working as a companion/caregiver for more then 12 years now. I truly love working with seniors. Living here in Vegas I also can work with your loved one at the casinos. I've completed the course on CPR, and first aide. as well as the Heimlich procedure, I have quite a bit of experience working with Alzheimer's & dementia to clients who just needed assistance in whatever it may be. I like to feel like I am helping to improve the clients quality of life. Some days may go to the doctors, grocery shop, taking them where they need to go, and gathering important information to share with you as far as doctors instructions etc. I like to get things done. As a long-distance caregiver, I often felt overwhelmed with my mom’s care and well-being. Darla became my confidant and consultant on “all things mom” which puts my mind at ease. She has become an integral part of mom's team and her genuine concern for both my mom and me have been invaluable. She has been with us for years, and she loves mom, and we love her! Whether it’s coordinating and taking mom to doctor’s appointments or taking mom shopping, Darla keeps Mom safe and well taken care of, with grace and compassion...and they have fun together too! Darla also seamlessly interfaces with the on-site caregiver. Their teamwork and communication have created a harmonious environment where everyone works together for Mom’s benefit, and which makes my life SO much easier and more stress free. In summary, Darla is a true gem and I highly recommend her. She has eased my burden, enriched Mom’s life, and become a cherished part of our family circle.
