I have a Master's of Education from the University of Miami in Florida. I have worked as the sports/recreation program director at a camp for youth and adults with mental and physical disabilities. I spent a year working as a residential/classroom aide at a school for students with developmental disabilities. Most of our students fell somewhere on the Autism Spectrum but we also had many students with down syndrome, rare disorders, or physical disabilities. My duties ranged from one on one classroom work to personal care in the residential home. I absolutely loved my time at the school and miss and think about the students everyday. I met some of the most amazing kids I will ever meet and learned so much from them. I have also spent two years as an environmental educator working with youth in an experiential/outdoor learning setting.

To Whom It May Concern: Danny served as a full-time volunteer coworker at Camphill Special School from December 2013 through December 2014. Camphill Special School is a member of the Association of Waldorf Schools in North America and of the International Camphill Movement. Camphill Special School provides education, care and therapeutic services to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. This activity is carried by an intentional community that includes staff and their families, as well as volunteers, who share their lives with the school's students in extended family households. Danny was a member of a large house community, including eight other staff members and volunteers, as well as five adolescents with special needs. His duties included providing direct support and personal assistance, participating in the general running of the household, serving as instructional assistant in classrooms and pre-vocational workshops and supporting students in recreational and leisure activities. Danny made an outstanding contribution to the life and work of our school community. He brought to his work a warm and genuine interest in the students he worked with and a strong capacity for dedication, commitment and perseverance. As a result, Danny established strong and supportive relationships with students and other staff, which were founded on mutual recognition and respect. I can recommend Danny highly and without any reservations for any position in this field.
