I worked as a special needs teacher for two and a half years. I taught high school mod-severe and worked with students with a variety of disabilities ages 14-22. I primarily worked with students diagnosed with ASD, but also students with ADHD, cognitive disabilities, and developmental delays. My class was specifically focused on English, math, and life skills. We taught the student skills such as grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, hygiene, etc., and went on outings in the community to work on social skills weekly. I also have a masters degree in special education and my teaching credential for mild/ moderate and moderate/ severe support needs as well as data tracking and iep progress experience. I love working with students and watching them meet their goals and planning fun activities!
