Hi, My Special Needs experience started when I was gaining my As degree at Brookdale Community College. I had my learning experience to gain my 60 hours in a Kindergarten special needs classroom setting. I then preceded to Kaplan University (online courses) where I am obtaining my BA degree for children with Autism. I hope to graduate in 2019. While attending College I also worked for Jackson Elementary School for the ESY summer program 2 years in a row as a paraprofessional. I helped the students (4th grade) with learning math and reading skills as well as interacting in outdoor play. During the school year last year I also watched a young man who was in Middle School after school and helped him continue his education in life skills such as learning to make his own snack or supervising and interacting him in other activities such as play out doors, wii console, computer, etc.
