I am an RN with experience in a Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation facility, as well as several years' experience caring for a child with autism. Throughout the last several years I have also counseled at a camp for adults with varying special needs, where I oversaw and cared for people with Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum disorders, and other various cognitive development challenges. In the LTC/Rehab facility I cared for a wide range of residents and patients with diagnoses such as quadriplegic, hip/knee/ankle/neck/shoulder/head/spinal cord injuries or post-surgery, dementia, cerebral palsy, and many more. Specific tasks I've completed include general care and any nursing-type tasks such as catheter placement/removal/care, medication administration, bathing, dressing, feeding, drainage tube care, and more. I have also performed educational therapy/training for a young boy with autism, using Applied Behavior Analysis techniques.
