Nothing captures me more than seeing a child grow and learn to meet their potential. I have a love of the English language and of writing, and I truly enjoy working with students to share this passion with them and to help them excel in their academic writing. I have worked with middle school, high school, college and post-grad students. This can take the form of any or all the following: proofreading for spelling and grammatical errors; review for readability (flow, continuity, etc.); editing with suggested areas to enhance creativity and research potential; guide to assure the student is meeting all requirements of the rubric/syllabus; review principles of citing sources as required by the instructor. Sometimes a student simply needs a cheerleader to brainstorm how to get started, and again at points along the way where he/she may get stuck. All is done with the goal of progressing toward independence. With older students, some tutoring can be done electronically and by phone.
