My rate is $20 - $25/hour and $35 for overnight, depending on the caregiving situation. Before I moved from NY to Louisville, I lived in Bedford, NY. All farm residents owned dogs and I was around dogs, cats and one horse on a daily basis for three years. When a dog was rescued from the south by Animal Rescue, I took care of it for a week in my home while the external organization found a long-term family. Most recently, since I am now in Colorado, I have been taking care of family's cat at a Louisville home for part-time while owners are on vacation. I have also been responsible for three dogs in a home. Responsibilities include: ensure animals receive replacement food, water, exercise and clean up cat litter box, outdoor dog waste, collect eggs if chickens are involved, etc. AND of course, TLC. This position can also include doing errands and odd jobs in support of the family and/or pet.
