For the better part of 10 years, I have dedicated myself to caregiving. I have dabbled in a little of everything, in terms of care facilities. Safe to say, I have cared for a number of residents with differing conditions and levels of care: total assist, Alzheimer-Dementia, broken-this-broken-that, etc. Even with all of that, I still find myself looking forward to refreshers and learning new things wherever I go, and I love that. There was a minor break from caring for elderly adults where I worked with teens in a care facility. This experience was pivotal to my growth as a professional but also a person.
