I have a great deal of experience working with all children with special needs and without. I have been a Teacher Aide and Para Professional for 5 years working with Autistic, Down Syndrome, and other students. I have also worked at a center for young children with Autism as a therapy assistant. I am familiar with characteristics of different diagnoses' and feel confident in my ability to work with these students. Other work experience includes 8 years in an after school care program, many summers as a nanny and a swim instructor. I have around 40 credit hours of educational courses from Northwest Missouri State and UMKC. I do plan on finishing a degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Special Ed. This is something I am very passionate and invested in. I love children and the privilege of helping them in their development. I believe in fun and responsibility. A well balanced routine is my objective when working with children.
