I started my medical career right out of high school. I have worked in many different facets within the medical community, including EMS, inpatient hospital care as well as respite, hospice, special needs, dementia and Alzheimer's. I feel most at home caring for patients/clients in their own homes because I get to give the kind of quality care, dedication and love that is sometimes unavailable within a facility atmosphere. I do however, often worked in a facility as a patient advocate for my clients to insure that they are receiving quality care and treatment. I am a licensed RN with an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing. My goal is to get my BSN in the next 3 years. We ended up hiring another candidate only for scheduling reasons, but I still had to leave Christie a good review. She showed up to our interview on time and she was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. She communicates well and in a timely fashion, and it is clear as day that she is very experienced and truly enjoys caring for seniors. She provided me with references, all of her certifications, and any information we would have needed for a background check; all without me needing to ask for any of it. She had many helpful suggestions for caring for our mom. We have had many bumps in the road trying to find a caregiver, but Christie really impressed me and stood out from her "competition." Any family would be lucky to have her!
