About Cheryl

Having worked in Early Childhood Education since the early 1990's at College of the Canyons, I left to raise my own family and homeschool them, after achieving 3 years as a California Mentor Teacher while a full time Adjunct Faculty. I returned back to part-time work at the college as an Assistant Teacher in the 2019/20 school year. Now that my youngest has entered High School I am ready for full time work. I have also been a weekend personal assistant to two elderly women in a home for the last 5 years. Supporting and attending to the physical, emotional, planning and stimulus needs of the clients and their family before the quarantine. Beyond the regular certifications in ECE, I was personally trained by Magda Gerber at the Resources for Infant Educarers (R. I. E.), facilities in Los Feliz, CA. I was a personal assistant to Magda in trainings on Whidbey Island, in WA each summer for 4 years before having my own family. I look forward to meeting your family soon.
