In 2019, I started working at a group home for adults with autism. The clients there varied on levels. I worked with low and high-functioning. I also work with nonverbal and verbal clients. I worked at the group home for 4 years. I then worked as a traveling care provider for 1 year, where I met a family with an adult with CDLS and became their nanny for another year. During that time, I learned many skills such as problem solving, making care plans, and developing rapport to create a safe and trusting environment, administrating medication, helping with home management tasks such as preparing mills, grocery shopping and cleaning. I have a CNA license and a BLS certificate.
