My third real experience came about in 2011 when my mother, had her Third stroke. I was living in Georgia at the time and my mom lived in our hometown St. Louis, Mo. I left my job and my home... I wasn't sure how to handle everything, putting my mother in Someone else's care wasn't an option. My mother was also a diabetic, and since she had "The Third Stroke" she suffered paralysis on her right side. She couldn't do anything for herself. I had to research how to administer her insulin with a needle, Researched psychology books to help her with the depression, and to renew her confidence. I researched physical therapy books and videos to be able to transport, and the proper way to lift and assist her. I researched nutrition and diets to aide in her recovery... I was her everything for the next three years, until she was able to physically do for her self again... which she did by the summer of 2013... The time I dedicated to my mom was much needed. She was very grateful.
