Hey there! My name is Cecilia, but everyone calls me CC. I am a 25-year-old incoming nursing student this September 2022 at Mount Sinai. I graduated from Wellesley College in Boston. I studied Psychology and Africana Studies. I love to be with kids; however, what I find most important is the understanding and patience required to be your best self so that each child can carry on with the same aspirations or attitudes! I value the common "why?" questions kids frequently because I enjoy challenging them to ask more! I have spent plenty of time caring for infants, toddlers, and teenagers. I worked as a part-time nanny for a family with four children for three years. Their ages ranged from 7 to 16 years old. I love being with kids, and my psychology degree helps me understand the basic principles of what each child might need support in. We hired Cecilia to take care of our 30 month old daughter - for a two week stint - while our regular nanny was recovering from surgery. Our daughter took to Cecilia immediately and they established a deep bond over that period of time. Cecilia is very willing to take direction and always made sure to take notes when new information was presented to her. She completed all tasks related to our daughter's care with no issue and, within a couple of days, made us feel as though she had been caring for our daughter for months. Cecilia put a lot of effort in engaging with our daughter be it by reading to her until she was satisfied, playing with her in the park, or even taking the initiative to begin teaching her how to play chess. Cecilia brought a youthful energy to her role, which along with her desire to outperform our expectations, was quite refreshing. We would recommend Cecilia to anyone looking for childcare without reservation.
