I like working with kids because they bring out the pure, genuine happiness within me. Children are incredible, they're so smart and funny and they make every day an adventure. Working with kids gives me a purpose. I started working with kids when I was 14. I mainly babysat my little sisters, but I also watched kids in the neighborhood. In my sophomore year of high school, I became an educational assistant and worked with non-verbal preschoolers. On top of that, I volunteered at my school's daycare every week and kept up with watching over my siblings. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors. I love hiking, finding fun lakes to swim in, laying out in the sun, etc. I really like to read as well, I have so many books. I love my family and really appreciate the infrequent moments I get with them. Other than that, I do a lot of schoolwork, regular work in UO dining, and hanging out with my friends!
