I am currently studying to become an intervention specialist for moderate to intensive disabilities. I am entering my senior year at the University of Akron. Soon, I will be applying for a master's program to earn a degree in school psychology. I have worked for Adaptive Centers for Children: Camp cheerful since the summer of 2013, in high school volunteered at my church and school working with children that have disabilities, service learning hours in college, and multiple tutoring experiences. I have experience with children that are nonverbal, non-ambulatory, multiple handicaps, communication devices, and introductory American Sign Language. Not only do I love working with children, but I aim to eliminate feelings of isolation, increase the development of social skills, and help children learn to communicate their thoughts and feelings with others.
