About Carolyn

Hi. I'm Carolyn, an active, healthy, 58-year-old grandmother of six. I truly enjoy spending time with children and have more than 10 years experience in professional child care. My hours and days of availability are flexible. References and a background check will be provided to you upon request. I have a B. A. in English from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a former CNA (Certified Nurses Aid), I have CPR and first aid training. in addition to caring for your child I am willing to do occasional light housekeeping, errands, and simple meal preparation. I am certain your child/ children will have fun with me, most of them don't want me to go home at the end of the shift. I read aloud and listen to the child read as well. I play games: board games, outdoor games, silly made up games (even video games if the parents approve). I'm creative, and do crafts. I sing and play piano. I strive for an intellectually stimulating atmosphere that is relaxed and enjoyable. Have a great day.
