About Caroline

I am currently a high school English teacher in the city, but this fall, I am looking to take a year off from teaching while I apply to writing programs and seek further teacher certification. I am hoping to be able to continue working with children as a nanny and/or tutor during the day during this time. I have been teaching and privately tutoring since I graduated from college in 2015, and have been babysitting regularly since I was in junior high school. While I was in graduate school working toward a masters in English from 2017 to 2019, I worked as a nanny for a family with a 3-month-old son and later a new daughter, whom I took care of until the boy turned two and I returned to teaching. I have a 6-year-old niece I've been watching and working with regularly since she was born. I'm open to working with children of all ages (comfy with newborns), and as an experienced classroom teacher and private tutor, I am available to tutor and assist with schoolwork and/or test prep!
