About Carly

Hello! My name is Carly and I graduated from Colorado State University in 2023. I recently worked as an au pair in Spain for a family with two young children and tutored them in English, Math, Science, and helped with their reading comprehension. I have a passion for teaching and I love helping students gain new knowledge and confidence to succeed. A hallmark of my teaching style is to coach students into analyzing their own weak areas and learning how to communicate with me what they think they want to practice more to improve in a certain subject. I find this builds a student's confidence when they select a topic they are struggling with and are able to see their progress. I also find this teaches students that struggling or not understanding concepts is okay and is a natural part of learning and that it is okay and encouraged to ask for help!
