Since I am a Colorado native, my favorite thing to do is be outside and explore the beautiful state we live in. Of course when our weather prevents that, I try to stay away from screen time and pull out some arts and crafts or have a good story time. We interviewed with Candice and while we decided to go with someone who lives closer to our new house, it was a hard decision to make. Candace arrived early to our interview and set up activities+snacks for the kids that she let us take home. We chatted for about an hour, and during that time she colored with my 5 year old while bouncing my 2 year old on her lap. She had absolutely no issue answering or asking questions while doing this, which is a skill I hope is contagious. She was very open about her past few years, and her resilience and love of children is undeniable. While we feel blessed to have her on our backup list, I know she'll make a wonderful addition to any family.
