About Candice

My personality is creative, personable, & organized. I know I can make a meaningful impact on students' learning and confidence. I value opportunities that allow me to build strong, positive relationships with learners, adapt to their needs, and create a supportive environment where students feel safe & can grow. I started tutoring 10 yrs. ago, specializing in dyslexic disorders, working throughout the Scottsdale area. I provided one on one sessions for an hour each, specifically as a reading specialist. In my spare time, I like to read, watch movies or tv, & spend time with family and friends. I'm also a drummer, I love playing, and love to listen to music, and go to concerts! I am originally from Chicago, I have been teaching for well over 20 years, I'm a mom of 2 grown kids, and a huge dog lover! I love to apply all my expertise with my students, using hands on, fun activities. I have a lot of patience with all the kids I've worked with, along with having empathy as well.
