I currently work with adults and with developmental disabilities including autism and Down's syndrome , as well as other intellectual disabilities. I have experience working with children of all abilities. I am passionate about my job and the individuals I serve. I pride myself on providing a safe, loving, encouraging environment for all individuals in my care. I have experience working with behavioral issues, sensory processing disorders, mobility issues, seizure disorders. dietary restrictions as well as food allergies. I am CPR, AED, and first aid certified, I am AMAP certified by OPWDD to give out medications. I am also trained in psychological first aid and crisis intervention and prevention, including the use of therapeutic holds. I am comfortable working in the community or in the home with individuals.
