As the step-mother of a son with severe ADHD and Anger Management Issues I have experience with calming and focusing techniques that will work in a variety of situations. From '07-'10 I worked as substitute teacher and I had the opportunity to work with the special needs class and found that I really loved it. In addition, a good friend of mine has a daughter with autism and I have spent a great deal of time around her. While I am by no means an expert in the area, I do have heart for those who need a little extra understanding for their special qualities. My favorite student at BISD was autistic and non-verbal but extremely smart and sweet. I believe in the power of kindness and patience and that every child is special and amazing in their own way. It is important to me that all children are given every opportunity to excel and be surrounded by love and support. Whatever your child's needs are I promise to provide the very best care in a fun and loving environment.
