I have been working with Deaf/hard of hearing and special needs children as well as children with behavioral issues for 7 years and I absolutely love it. There is never a "normal" day, the kids are always doing something amazing. They help me remember to slow down, enjoy life, laugh as much as possible and appreciate the little things. During the school year, I work as an educational interpreter (American Sign Language). I am currently looking for summer opportunities, and am looking for one near full-time position, or multiple part-time positions. I am quite active and love to teach, help, and play as much as I can. I'm very comfortable with pets, and am definitely willing to help out around the house, if needed.

I hired Brittany through Care.com as an after-school sitter. Knowledgeable, flexible, professional, and patient, Brittany was hands-down exceptional. Because of her experience and education, my husband and I learned many strategies and techniques to help us care for our special needs foster son. She followed our guidelines happily and even brought her own games/books/activities for him. Our little guy was challenging, and yet she had a way with him, and he absolutely enjoyed his time with her. Our foster son left us, which is why Brittany no longer works with us. We would hire her again in a second.
