I have 5 nieces and 2 nephews who I babysit on occasion. Being around children, interacting, and getting to know them is very fulfilling. Also, I have some experience with special needs. My older sister is functioning a lot lower than what she is suppose to be. Growing up, we were close and we still are today. My younger sister has Asperger's, which is a form of Autism. I have understanding and empathy for what they both are facing. In high school, I was involved in Swimming, band, and BuildOn (community service based). Enriching activities really interest me. I believe it is very important for kids to be a part of enriching activities as well. Kids deserve to have an environment where they can grow, explore, feel loved, and be encouraged. Another thing that may be helpful to know; I believe in positive reinforcement and time outs when necessary. Right now, I'm looking to go into Social Work or Early Childhood Education. I also enjoy cleaning, friendly animals and helping people in general. If you think I may be a good fit for you and your family, don't hesitate to contact me.
