I began working with the special needs population in high school when I was a babysitter for a non-verbal autistic child. This is when I knew my calling and my desire to work with this population. After college, I worked in a few different fields before beginning work at a group home for children and adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral problems. I loved my job there and I was commended on my work with my clients. Currently, I am working at an animal shelter as a behavioral assessor. I have a deep passion for working with animals and it has shown in every animal related job I have had.
