At face value, Brianna looked to be the perfect nanny, with experience and great references, but a week before I was supposed to return to work from being on maternity leave, she completely ghosted me. I spent time interviewing her over the phone, speaking with all of her references, had her over to our home where she met my family, she accepted the job, and then just stopped returning my texts/phone calls this past weekend and didn't show up for her first day of training, which was supposed to be yesterday. Unfortunately, I cannot get any of that time back, and now I'm in quite the bad predicament having no child care and only 5 days to figure it out (with not a ton of time to do so since I'm a mom to an infant and a toddler), but hopefully this review prevents someone else from wasting their time. (I went back and forth on whether to post it or not, because I didn't want to do it just out of spite and anger, but ultimately if it helps one person not have to go through this, it's worth it) It can be difficult being a working mother, esp. during a pandemic, and this level of inconsiderate, immature and unprofessional behavior is disheartening and completely mind-boggling to me. On the bright side, I learned of all this before I let her take care of my children.
