Most of my work and volunteer experiences have been based around helping children and families meet any of their personal/individual goals, as I was a mentor to elementary students in the Grow, Explore, Mentor program; a volunteer at the Little KidSpace at COSI; an Americorps member of City Year Miami, mentoring and tutoring middle school children in and outside of the classroom, and becoming a confidant and personal outlet. I currently work as a Preschool Paraprofessional at The Learning Spectrum, where I work on IEP goals with the kids, aid the lead teacher in lesson implementation and behavior management, act as lead teacher in their absence, etc. I have a serious passion for children and desire to help them become civic and functioning members of society.
