I'm kind, patient, creative, and fun! I've had several babysitting jobs and often volunteered to help in children's classes at church. I love teaching kids new things! I've worked 5 years taking care of a woman with dementia, which is much like dealing with a child. As someone with a 2019 Bachelor's in Creative Writing, I'm a good tutor. I'm currently tutoring a high school boy with writing, and I'm an appraiser's assistant. I've worked as a literature teacher, manager, 5 years as a dementia caregiver, line server, cashier, and interned at a large media company in California before the 2020 lockdowns. Housework was also included in my 5 years of elder care, and one home had a few pets. I've also worked as I'm CPR & First Aid certified as of 2024.

We needed some short-term childcare for our 18 mo old and 3 year old during the work week when I had to go out of town... and thank goodness for Bethany! After chatting a bit through care.com, Bethany was very accomodating in getting to our house to meet our kids and get a feel for the day-to-day. Both kids took to her immediately - she's very friendly, warm and knows how to be silly with the kids. We hired her right after we met her. She was extremely prompt, had lots of fun ideas to do with the kids, and sent me updates and pictures while I was away on my trip which I appreciated so much! She handled meal and nap times no problem and always offered to help with whatever was needed around the house. She's very reliable and we will absolutely reach out to her in the future!
