Hello, I have experience working in a nursing home with dementia and Alzheimer's residents and I am CPR/First aid certified Child/adult/infant. While working in the nursing home I checked on the residents every hour, I helped them go to the restroom or change their diaper, helped them in and out of bed and even tucked them in when asked. Also, I gave them a listening ear when they needed to talk and showed compassion when they were confused. In 2016 my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and I took care of her for 2 years before she passed away. With my grandmother I would cook for her, clean and make sure she took her medication on time. I would also go to her doctor's appointments and visit her every day when she was in the hospital to make sure she was being properly taken care of. I also have experience with changing a colostomy bag and cleaning bed sores. I would also bathe her and help her adjust in the bed so she would be comfortable.
