I previously worked in a skilled nursing facility as an Activity Assistant in 2020. As you can imagine my role changed their quite a bit through out the year and I did a little bit of everything from group/individual activities, catering individual activities based on cognitive and physical capabilities, assisting with cleaning/laundry and passing snacks! While I worked in a nursing home during a very difficult year- my goal was to make sure the residents I worked with felt comfort and I always got them to laugh. On a personal note, I also spent a great deal of time helping my great aunt run errands, clean, garden, and eat all of the delicious baked goods she baked.
