About Avery

Hi! I'm Avery, an English and Spanish double major at Wellesley College. I have a strong background in helping others learn, serving as a peer tutor in both middle and high school. I feel confident in my ability to help with any subject! At college, I am an editor for our student newspaper, helping others develop their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. I'm also experienced in learning strategies for difficult material, helping students break concepts into manageable pieces. In addition, I row at Wellesley-an experience that has deepened my appreciation for collaboration in reaching goals. I am ready to adapt to student's needs to make us the strongest team possible! Beyond college, moderating discussions for Havard Book Store has taught me to ask the right questions, actively listen, and encourage others to express their ideas-skills that directly transfer to engaging, effective tutoring.
