About Astrid

My name is Astrid, and I'm a 36-year-old transplant to the Boston area (North Shore). I've worked with a wide range of ages, from early learners (20 mos-5 years) to teens and young adults. Prior to my career in special ed, I worked as a nanny (seasonally and on a full-time basis) for many years. While the bulk of my work has been working with kids on the spectrum, I enjoy kids of all ages and stages! In my last career, I worked as a Behavior Technician in the public school setting with students on the autism spectrum. A typical day was spent working 1:1 with students in need of specialized educational as well as behavioral intervention. Currently, I'm a full-time grad student working towards becoming a marriage and family therapist. Other fun facts about me: I speak French; I love arts & crafts projects of all kinds; my hobbies include hiking and most outdoor activities.
