I am a retired teacher of 35 years. My certifications are in elementary, LD and multi handicapped education. I have taught special education all levels for 15 years. I taught 2nd, 3rd and middle school regular education. After retirement, 2013, my husband and I were my mothers full time care givers for six and a half years. I provided all services for her including showering, doctor visits, medication administration, meals, dressing, meals and housekeeping. She passed away 2020 at 97 years old. Soon after, my husband developed lung cancer and I cared for him for over a year through surgeries and chemotherapy. Luckily, he is doing well now. We are just finishing building our home on Catawba Island and I am looking to enter the work world again.
