Hello my name is Anna I am a student at Samford University and I am majoring in Human Development with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities. My interest with children and adults with special needs began at an early age when my cousin was diagnosed with Autism. In the last 3 summers I have been a volunteer at United Ability. I learned so much about children (ages from 2-5) and adults who have special needs. The last 2 summers I have been a Camp Counselor at Camp ASCCA, a camp for children and adults with special needs. I provided total 24 hour care for 2-3 campers. I believe people with special needs are my vocation. I have encountered several situations from seizures, tube feedings, and one man mobilization. Would love to hear from you about possible nannying positions you need filled!
