My main responsibilities were to assist the students with recreational and educational activities, practice behavior management, help with toileting, and of course keep the kids safe. In college, I interned with Community Access Naperville, a recreational/vocational day program for young adults with disabilities. I worked one-on-one with each participant, helping them with daily activities while encouraging as much independence as possible.
