About Amy

I'm a former preschool/kindergarten teacher with over 20 years experience, and hold a teaching license/credential from North Carolina. I have worked with children in a Montessori classroom environment, was an after school program supervisor in a public school environment, have experience looking after children overnight while parents traveled, have loved and taken care of my own grandchildren. My duties in a classroom included: writing curriculum, assessing preschool and kindergarten students, setting up a safe and warm environment so children would love coming to school, having good communication with parents, designing age appropriate arts and crafts projects, designing age appropriate materials for hands on work, working one-on-one with students as well as large and small groups. I'm organized, patient, love talking to children, and consider myself a warm and friendly person.
